Paul started playing golf at age 13 back in Melbourne Australia. He had success as a junior winning schoolboy and club level competitions. By the age of 16 he had a 2 handicap. Paul took a short break from the game and then later pursued his interests in golf upon moving to the Gold Coast, Queensland. He quickly got his handicap to a scratch level and won his club championships as well as some high finishes in amateur tournaments.
Paul enrolled in the Griffith University PGA IGI course where he completed a Bachelor of Business degree in Sport Management and a Certificate in Golf Management Practices. It was at this time that Paul met golf coach Gary Edwin whom changed his thinking about the golf swing and golf coaching.
At university level Paul had great success on the golf course dominating the university competitions and finishing 4th in the Australian University Games in consecutive years. Paul then went on to complete his traineeship with the Australian PGA under the guidance of Mark and Sean Bath at the Gold Coast Country Club. Here he was schooled in all areas of the golf profession from retail, management, club fitting and coaching. He successfully graduated to become a full PGA member.
Paul’s passion was always in the teaching field and in 2007 he was fortunate to be appointed as an instructor at the Gary Edwin Golf Academy in Singapore. At this time he underwent the Gary Edwin Golf Accreditation Scheme whilst honing his skills as a golf coach.
In 2009 Paul was given the role of golf coach for the Singapore Sports School golf team alongside Chris Marriott and in this time their students have achieved tremendous success in local and international competition.
Apart from training elite players, Paul is also passionate about introducing new golfers to the game and has helped hundreds of beginners and intermediate players to learn and improve their games using the Right Sided Swing. In the future, Paul aims to continually develop and improve his coaching and guide his elite students to the professional tours around the world. At the same time he hopes to influence the many young junior golfers he teaches and educate golfers about the Right Sided Swing.
